For the Bucknell Bison, the 2015-16 season didn’t look good from the outset, but they turned things around in the second half of the season to nab the Patriot League regular season title.
After starting the year 3-1, the Bison lost their next seven games to limp into conference play at 3-8 overall. They were able to get things back on track, and won the regular season conference title by a game.
While they weren’t able to win the post-season tournament and advance to the NCAA Tournament, they did accept a bid into the 2016 NIT.
Looking ahead to the 2016-17 season, the Bison will be without leading scorer Chris Hass, but return enough talent to make themselves a front-runner for the conference title once again. Forward Nana Foulland will be the focal point of the offense, while others will step up to fill the void left by Hass.
In total, Bucknell will have a rematch with seven teams in non-conference play from last season. They went 2-5 in those games a year ago.
