James Woodard will look to lead the Tulsa Golden Hurricane to another conference win on Tuesday night, while the East Carolina Pirates will look to put an end to their slide.

At this point last season, the East Carolina Pirates were 8-10 overall, and 1-4 in AAC play, and suffered a 66-64 loss to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane after falling 77-54 to the SMU Mustangs.

Fast forward one year, the Pirates enter Tuesday with an 8-10 record overall, and are 0-5 in conference play, and are coming off a 79-55 loss to SMU two games ago.

The UNC-Wilmington Seahawks kept their March Madness bid alive with a 91-82 win over CAA opponent the Elon Phoenix.

After starting out 1-2 in CAA conference play with losses to the Northeastern Huskies and Towson Tigers, the Seahawks have bounced back with two  straight wins against the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens and now Elon.

The nationally-ranked SMU Mustangs (15-0) will put their undefeated season on the line again tonight against the East Carolina Pirates in a big American Athletic Conference showdown.

The Mustangs are coming off an 88-73 victory over the Central Florida Knights in their last outing. As for the Pirates, they are coming off a 78-60 loss to the Temple Owls on Saturday.
