Balanced scoring attack leads LIU Brooklyn to 104-68 win over New Rochelle

Raiquan Clark recorded 17 points, six rebounds and five assists on Monday, and all five starters for LIU Brooklyn scored in double-figures in their 104-68 win over New Rochelle.

BROOKLYN, NY — Coming into Tuesday, The LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds were 0-2 on the season, losing games to the Tulane Green Waves and the Fordham Rams.

LIU had their home opener against second-year basketball Division lll program the College New Rochelle Blue Angels in the Steinberg Wellness Centre.

Head coach Derek Kellogg made his debut at home and his team did not disappoint. The Blackbirds came out hungry, led by Joel Hernandez, who scored five of the team’s first seven points on the night. A look at Opening Weekend for the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds

BROOKLYN — The LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds have started 2017-2018 season with an 0-2 record after opening weekend.

However, it’s nothing to worry about, and there are some key takeaways from this past weekend.
