WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Saturday afternoon, the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks continued their six-game road swing with game against the Georgetown Hoyas.

The Hawks have had an extra day of rest, as their game against the St. Bonaventure Bonnies from Wednesday was cancelled due to power failures inside the Reilly Center. That game was rescheduled for November 20th at 7:00pm EST.

Georgetown and Maryland Eastern Shore last met in the 2015-16 season, with the Hoyas picking up a 68-49 victory over the Hawks inside Capital One Arena.

On Saturday, the Hawks were looking to get back on track after suffering a lopsided defeat at the hands of the Maryland Terrapins in their previous game. Logan McIntosh was still out of the lineup for the Hawks against the Hoyas, leaving the Hawks short-handed once again.

Eastern Shore was simply overwhelmed by the Hoyas from the outset of the game. Georgetown opened the day on a 10-0 run, holding the Hawks scoreless for over three minutes in the process. They had runs of eight and nine points in the first half, and took a 21-point lead into the locker room.

Georgetown had five players score in double-figures on the day, and the Hoyas cruised to the 83-57 win over Maryland Eastern Shore. Continue reading Slow start dooms Maryland Eastern Shore on the road at Georgetown

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The head coaching era for Patrick Ewing with the Georgetown Hoyas officially got underway on Sunday afternoon inside Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
