Who’s Left?: Top remaining transfers from outside of the power conferences

CALGARY, Alta. — The 2017 transfer list is creeping up on 700 names.

Plenty of players have committed to their new schools, and have made some waves with their decisions in the process. Some of the decisions have changed the landscape of college basketball, like C.J. Bryce committing to Kevin Keatts and the NC State Wolfpack, or the Lawson brothers, Jack Whitman, and Charlie Moore committing to the Kansas Jayhawks, just to name a few.

While the majority of players have found their new homes, there is still a ton of talent still available on the transfer market. With the off-season slowing ticking away, available players are still taking official visits, in search of their next stop on their respective basketball journey.

Top 25 transfers from non-power programs in 2017 – April 23rd

Over the weekend, Jeff Beverly (middle) became the latest impact graduate transfer to hit the open market.

CALGARY, Alta. — What a weekend it was for transfer players all across the country.

Several of the nation’s top transfer players committed to their respective schools. Some will be eligible next season as graduate transfers, while many will sit out a year and be eligible in 2018-19.

The likes of freshmen Peter Kiss (Rutgers Scarlet Knights) and Isiaha Mike (SMU Mustangs) turned stellar first-year performances into a spot on a power conference roster for the future.

Other players, like Kendall Smith and Khris Lane, did the same as graduate transfers, and will look to lead their new programs to the NCAA Tournament next year.

With the shake-ups over the past weekend, several of our top transfer from non-power programs are no longer on the market.
