Once a highly-touted recruit coming out of high school, Georgetown Hoyas‘ forward Isaac Copeland found himself in unfamiliar territory in 2016-17.

His role had diminished with the program, limiting his playing time off the hop. Then, the injury bug bit the junior to just seven games in 2016-17, averaging just 5.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in under 20 minutes of action per night.

In mid-December, he announced his intentions to transfer from the program, and he received his release.

Several teams reached out and tried to recruit the talented 6’9” forward, but one in particular seemed to have a leg up on the others. On Monday afternoon, it was announced where Copeland would be transferring for the remainder of his collegiate career.

Copeland is headed to the Big Ten Conference, and will join coach Tim Miles and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, just in time for the spring semester to begin. Continue reading Georgetown transfer Isaac Copeland will continue collegiate career at Nebraska
