Hawai’i Warriors Get Off to a 3-1 Start in Big West Play

HONOLULU — After opening with a record of 3-1 in Big West play, which will continue on Saturday against Chima Moneke and the UC Davis Aggies, the Hawai’i Warriors are sitting pretty in a tie for second in the conference standings.

Hawai’i has averaged an even 70 points per game over their four-game stretch, but have been playing some sub-par basketball despite the results on the scoreboard and their spot in the standings.

In their 57-45 win over the Cal Poly Mustangs, their second win over the stretch, the Warriors shot just 40.5% from the field, as well as shooting a dismal 33.3% from beyond the arc. Continue reading Hawai’i Warriors Get Off to a 3-1 Start in Big West Play

Hawai’i Begins Conference Play Thursday Against Long Beach State

LONG BEACH, Ca. — Thursday night, the Hawai’i Warriors will be on the road to begin their Big West conference play slate against the Long Beach State 49ers.

The 9-4 Hawai’i Warriors are entering Big West play with a glaring weakness on the offensive end of the floor, as they shot just 30.65% from three point range during non-conference play.

With the exhibition season in full swing, and coming to a close early this week, that can mean only one thing.

The 2016-17 college basketball regular season is just around the corner!

Things get underway Friday, November 11th at Noon EST with the first regular season game of the season, and there will be a plethora of talent on display across all 32 conferences all season long.

Before the season gets started, we decided to hand out some preseason hardware, in the form of our Conference Player of the Year award and All-Conference Teams.

Along with that, we have the College Court Report All-Americans, and the Mid-Major Player of the Year Preseason Watch List. Links to all of the conference awards and the Watch List can be found at the bottom of each article.

Previewing the ESPN 24-Hour Tip-Off Marathon

The 2015-16 college basketball regular season is in full-swing, and what a weekend it was. Upsets were scattered about, mixed in with record-breaking performances from some of the nation’s best programs.

After the first weekend is in the books, basketball fans from across the nation get geared up for a full 24 hours of top-notch college basketball action, in the form of the ESPN 24-Hour Tip-Off Marathon. From Monday, November 16th at 5:30pm until Tuesday, November 17th at 10:00pm, there are basketball games all throughout. Yes, that means even in the wee hours of the morning, there are basketball games (we see you, Nevada and Hawaii).

The event brings together a handful of the country’s best games over that time frame and all of the games are showcased on ESPN networks. To get you ready for this year’s festivities, we have previewed all of the games for you in one convenient location.
