Hawai’i Drops to Sixth in the Big West After 84-82 Loss to UC Santa Barbara in Overtime

HONOLULU — Things have gone very wrong since the Hawai’i Warriors found themselves atop of the Big West standings. The Warriors have since lost two straight conference games, and they have come by a combined five points.

The Warriors fell to the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos in the closing seconds in their last outing, as Brocke Stepteau had his jumper blocked as time expired in overtime in what was a heartbreak ending for Hawai’i on the road. Hawai’i Begins Conference Play Thursday Against Long Beach State

LONG BEACH, Ca. — Thursday night, the Hawai’i Warriors will be on the road to begin their Big West conference play slate against the Long Beach State 49ers.

The 9-4 Hawai’i Warriors are entering Big West play with a glaring weakness on the offensive end of the floor, as they shot just 30.65% from three point range during non-conference play.

Hawai’i Basketball: Previewing the Miami (FL) Hurricanes

Lonnie Walker and the sixth-ranked Miami (FL) Hurricanes are the team to beat in the 2017 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, which gets underway on December 22nd.

HONOLULU — The Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors will host the ninth annual Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic at Stan Sheriff Center, which begins on December 22nd.

Hawai’i will play the 9-0 Miami Hurricanes, who are coming into the game being one of only four undefeated teams left in NCAA Division I.  Hawai’i is considered a 14-point underdog in this match-up.
