Georgetown never trails in 73-57 win over Jacksonville

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The head coaching era for Patrick Ewing with the Georgetown Hoyas officially got underway on Sunday afternoon inside Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

Ewing returned to his alma mater this off-season to become the latest head coach of the Hoyas. In his regular season head coaching debut, Georgetown welcomed the Jacksonville Dolphins to town to kick off the 2017-18 season.

Jacksonville was coming off a season-opening loss at the hands of the UAB Blazers on Friday, 96-67, and were looking to get in the win column.

Georgetown took an early lead on Sunday afternoon, as Jamorko Pickett hit a three pointer less than a minute in for the first points of the season for the Hoyas. Brock Badgers set to host Jacksonville Dolphins, Binghamton Bearcats inside Bob Davis Gymnasium

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Fresh off their appearance in the 2017 Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Final Four, the Brock Badgers are looking for even more during the 2017-18 season.

The Badgers took home a bronze medal last season in the OUA Playoffs, and were a top-five team in the country for the latter part of the season. They saw first-hand what it takes to win a gold medal, and with a strong core back for another go-round, this year could be the Badgers’ year on the hardwood.

Before the season gets going, the Badgers will play six exhibition games against Division I institutions from across the NCAA. Starting August 9th, the Badgers will play a pair of games on their home court, before heading to the Virgin Islands to play four more games against various NCAA opponents.
