Jacksonville State adds former ACC guard for 2018-19 season

JACKSONVILLE, Al. — The Jacksonville State Gamecocks are coming off a banner year for the program, and folks around the country are taking notice of the program.

Fresh off their Ohio Valley Conference tournament title and berth to the NCAA Tournament, the Gamecocks aren’t sneaking up on people this season. Many expect Jacksonville State to contend for the regular season crown in the OVC, and they’ll be looking to make back-to-back appearances in the Big Dance.

Their success on the hardwood has translated to some success on the transfer market this off-season. The Gamecocks have already added senior guard Detrick Mostella to the mix, as he transferred from the Tennessee Volunteers.

Late Thursday night, it was announced via Twitter that the Gamecocks added another player with power conference experience to the mix for the 2018-19 campaign.
