LYNCHBURG, Va. — TheĀ Liberty Flames have been known to get creative on social media, especially with their videos.

First, there was the time that their freshmen had some fun with the idea of commitment videos. In a press conference, three student-athletes picked from different textbooks to declare their major at the university.

Shortly after the video surfaced, the Flames had some more trickery up their sleeves. At the team’s first meeting after the players arrived for the fall semester, head coach Ritchie McKay surprised redshirt juniorĀ Zach Farquhar with a scholarship for the 2017-18 season.

Farquhar was bombarded with hugs and cheers from his teammates, and rightfully so.

Now, fast-forward to Tuesday, and the Flames were back at it once more. Again, it was at the expense of Farquhar, who is now a redshirt senior with the program. McKay had something else up his sleeve for the native of Cincinnati, OH, but he got some help from the Chief of Police with the Liberty University Police Department. Liberty Flames Shoot Their Way to 96-50 Victory Over Toccoa Falls

LYNCHBURG, Va. — After ending the 2017 Paradise Jam on a high note with a win in the 7th place game, theĀ Liberty Flames were back in action on Saturday afternoon to continue their six-game hone swing.

The Flames welcomed theĀ Toccoa Falls Eagles to town for an afternoon contest inside the Vines Center. After only notching one win in three attempts during the 2017 Paradise Jam, the Flames were looking to continue their winning ways.
